Gem.In.Eyes is a makeup artistry brand founded by Chibbi It starts with a mood, an idea, or an emotion, and using his client as an inspirational canvas, it transforms into living art. From simple beauty to bold theatrics, every makeup tells a story.
Chibbi has been perfecting his craft as a makeup artist since 2005, receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Dance from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009 where he trained under renowned makeup and costume expert Jim Glavan. He worked on numerous stage productions and independent films and has knowledge of diverse makeup styles, including stage, old age, character, and beauty makeup; special effects and prosthetics; mask making; body painting, and airbrushing.
He has worked as the key makeup artist in productions of Romeo and Juliet, Bodas de Sangre, and Macbeth, designing the aesthetics and training a team of artists. Chibbi has produced and designed his own runway show, as well as facilitated makeup classes in Houston, The Woodlands, and Lake Charles, LA. Recently, he travled to Austin, TX and spent 5 days working with Getty Images at the SXSW Film festival for a celibrity portrait studio.
Chibbi has been with MAC Cosmetics since 2010, currently working as a Regional Trainer for the South Central based out of San Antonio, TX.
